Aimee Lauezzari"We cannot tell the exact moment a friendship is formed; as in filling a vessel drop by drop, there is at last a drop which makes it run over; so in a series of kindnesses, there is at last one that makes the heart run over.” ~ Gloria Naylor
I believe that is exactly how it was for Aimee and I. We connected instantly through a common friend on Facebook a few years ago. Since then, our holy friendship has been growing stronger and stronger roots and it is one of the sweetest friendships I am so fortunate to be in. Aimee, as it turns out, is the complete opposite of me in so many ways. She is gentle, kind, understanding and a very loving listener. I feel what really 'grew' us was our common love and interest in Jeshua, a.k.a Jesus. Not the Jesus as the world knows in the usual Christian stories, but the Jeshua known to not very many souls in the world —Jeshua, the Brother and the Ancient Friend. And so, Jeshua became the strongest link between us. We are both equally committed to REMEMBERING who we truly are. Together we explore, study, share and experiment with the various teachings including The Art of Spiritual Peacemaking, A Course In Miracles, New Age teachings and teachers, traditional religious teachings both Eastern and Western, etc. Aimee is always genuinely very open hearted and embracing of all things new. She is fascinated and patient enough to play with what you have offered her, learn something new from it and enjoy the experience. Her approach towards everything, especially with people, is very non judgmental and compassionate. I love how she never judges me and 'Sees' me beyond my appearances. In this world, that truly counts for something!!! We are now at a place in our lives where I believe we have actually found our own "bliss spots" in the world, within our individual Divine Paths, and we are generously available to each other always uplifting and supporting each other's journey. We make great companion travellers!! I am from India, and Aimee, an American, is my dearest Soul Sister and Friend in Christ. We are having such fun putting this blog together, a project we so naturally and effortlessly slipped into. We are truly living in a time where Soul Family are finding each other and sharing their spiritual experiences like never before. When two or more souls can share the same space without the clamoring of the ego trying to take center stage, I know for sure then, only goodness and beauty can come out of it as a result!! With us, I am amazed how true this is!! I am so grateful for the internet and for my Beloved Sister of my Soul. ♥ |
Lavina JainMy dear friend and Soul Sister, Lavina, tells the story of us well. And if she is in any way the opposite of me, it is only that she is fire-y and passionate. She speaks her mind with conviction, and doesn’t hold back. Her background and spiritual experiences are so diverse! I still chuckle when I think that this lovely Indian woman who was raised by Catholic nuns was the one to introduce me to Jeshua and others. I will be forever grateful.
She is equally comfortable diving into A Course in Miracles as she is explaining Hindu festivals and sharing insights from Mooji. On Facebook she kept so many of us inspired with her wise words and observations, often sharing very personal experiences. She always includes anyone who is genuinely interested, and started a few smaller groups, creating a space for meaningful sharing and interaction. What I admire most about Lavina is her willingness to go deeper, her willingness to accept 100% responsibility for her own experience and understanding. She is not content to just read a book or hear a master, rather she chooses to experience it and feel it and make it really her own. And, equally to be admired, she will not declare her experience as the only or best way. She will never tell another how or what they are to experience, but will only share and encourage, inspiring us all to go that bit deeper into our own understanding. She, too, listens without judgment and has stood by me, and still walks with me, on this spiritual journey, down the scenic paths and over the rocky mountains. I am so grateful . |
