Books that inspire us
A Course in Miracles
Lavina: I love ACIM for many reasons but mostly because the lessons on the transformation of the mind are exceptional!!
Aimee: I love that ACIM is spiritual and practical. Is it mind re-training, and yet it is full of love and understanding.
You Can Heal Your Life by Louise L. Hay
Lavina: I love this book. I came across it quite a number of years ago and found it to be pretty simple and life transforming. Previously, I had been reading a lot of scriptural stuff and found them pretty hard to translate into daily living. Louise's style, simplicity and personal experience of all that she was teaching touched my heart. I still refer to her book very often. Its a life saver.
Aimee: I, too, found this book to be very clear and loving and transforming. The idea that our thoughts and beliefs shape our physical body is a big one!
Deepest Acceptance by Jeff Foster
Aimee: I think Lavina may have introduced me to Jeff Foster and this is a book I now keep handy. The first reading was not so clear to me, even though I had the feeling that this was something important. The second time I read it, I just kept smiling and say "yes!" to myself. And now I pick it up when I'm drawn to it, and the perfect passage always makes itself known.
Lavina: Yes Aimee, I did introduce you to Jeff Foster, though I have not yet bought his book. I hope to very soon. I love non-dual teachings, so I just got drawn to Jeff Foster quite naturally!
The Art of Spiritual Peacemaking by James Twyman
Aimee: This is the book that Lavina and I decided "study" together. The tone and teachings in this book suit me to a T. It's our brother, Jeshua, gently guiding us back to what has always been our true nature, and nudging us to step out into the world as Love.
Lavina: Love this book too. This book this really opened up my heart.
Dying to be Me by Anita Moorjani
Aimee: This is another book I have read twice through and still go back to. Her experience and her sharing really move me, every time. She had a compelling and beautiful near death experience and the medical and the spiritual sides are both astonishing. She shares openly, encouraging us to know Love, starting with self-love.
Lavina: Anita Moorjani's account of NDE truly spoke to my soul. Religion has absolutely nothing to do with the spiritual world. They are the makings of man. She was not particularly religious and yet she had an amazing experience and received such precious guidance from her father and friend. She came back changed. If I had any doubts whatsoever about God being partial to any particular religion, this NDE account shattered it all. I KNOW now we are each LOVED BEYOND OUR OWN COMPREHENSION!!
Conversations with God series by Neale Donald Walsch
Aimee: These books started my spiritual journey, and will always be grateful for their appearance in my life. I love the idea that God is still talking to all of us, whenever we are ready to listen.
Lavina: Strange, but I haven't read a single book of his and I don't know why!!!! I love his wife, Em Clare's poetry. They are beautiful and ethereal!
The Jeshua Letters by Jayem
Lavina: Love this book. Jayem's encounter with Jesus is mind blowing. His own personal experience on how he reacted initially and the inner struggle he went through about how to let the world know of such an encounter, is so human and I can only imagine his struggles to unleash such information on the world. These messages are very simple and clear giving us Keys to unlock our minds to freedom.
Aimee: Yes, another great book. I'm so glad you (Lavina) introduced me to Jayem and Jeshua through him.
